... we will wish we had later.

Give this man a Twitter machine and he's dangerous. Sometimes knowing what these guys are like off the field isn't really that much fun, I kind of pine for the old days when we didn't know as much.

Did Santokio admit he likes to toke up right out of bed? If that's what he wrote, he is, IMO, on a road to unemployment with the Steelers - not because I think toking is wrong, but because his employers do, and because he seems pretty darn clueless.

I wonder if the Rooney's are looking to trade him now while his value is "high". They must be wondering how they woke up one day and became the Cincinatti Bengals (sorry, Jom).

Uggh.

Santonio Holmes' 'Wake N Bake' Moment: Did He Admit To Drug Use?

It has been a bit of a rough week for Santonio Holmes. The Steelers wide receiver is facing a lawsuit alleging that he assaulted a young woman at a Florida nightclub. He followed that development by telling a fan on Twitter to kill himself.

ProFootballTalk, which has been keeping tabs on Holmes' latest musings, found another gem. The Super Bowl MVP wrote -- publicly -- to one follower Wednesday morning that it is "time to wake n bake." How does UrbanDictionary define the term? "To wake up and immediately blaze" and "toking up right after you wake up."

While it is certainly possible that Holmes has his own definition for the language, it's yet another questionable decision from the second Pittsburgh Steeler to recently find himself in potential trouble.

B) He was heading into the kitchen to start baking pastries.

He really wrote 'wake and bake'? Wow, what a dumb move...not quite Shaun Rogers with a loaded gun in the airport dumb but still moronic. Didnt we all tell him to STFU!! on twitter in another thread? This just goes to, once again, prove Ruthlessburgher's Twitter Axiom: athlete + twitter = train wreck

What an idiot. I'm on the "don't think there's anything wrong with smokin', but don't advertise" side of the discussion.

What a waste of talent. Really sad.

i'm on stonio's twitter account and I never saw anything like that. sure he says dumb things, but nothing like that. of course, there are like 4 different stonio twitter accounts but HIS is the one that i subscribed to... the last morning post I saw from him was that he was heading to work out with Shaw for his speed training.

Hopefully yours is authentic and the others are just fake. On your Holmes account, did he tell someone to drink something and kill themseves?

Holmes' Twitter Page Creates New Controversy

There is new controversy for Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver Santonio Holmes as messages on his Twitter page are creating national outrage.

Some of those messages on the social networking site have also left one former sports agent wondering what Holmes is thinking.

"They've got to sit down and think before they go do something," said Gusty Sunseri, a former sports agent.

Sunseri is an attorney and former agent who represented more than 50 athletes including superstar Sean Gilbert.

"Constructive criticism with anyone is only as good as the person that's accepting it," said Sunseri. "There are times when I feared giving constructive criticism because they would tell me, 'Get lost, you're gone.'"

He says in the situation with Holmes, the conversation has to be simple.

"What are you doing? That's the first thing that's gonna come to my mind is that in these situations generally you don't want to say much to begin with," said Sunseri.

The former agent says he was shocked by the recent messages on Holmes' Twitter account.

Some were benign like, "I love all my fans even the ones who hate me."

Others were defensive like, "Word to the street and the wise guys I don't take advice from anyone!" and "U rite ppl don't understand life. I'm not going to get off Twitter bc the fans think I shud."

But another one has raised some controversy.

It was sent Tuesday to a fan who attacked Holmes on the site, "Y u tryna make me look like the bad guy. U should try finding the worst thing that you could drink n kill urself."

"Why would you confront a fan on a Twitter page?" said Sunseri. "It's not even a conversation between you and him; it's disseminated throughout the cyberspace. It's just, it's ridiculous."

Sunseri, who spent 20 years dealing with NFL players and teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers, says he believes the front office in Pittsburgh will not tolerate the recent behavior of a number of the players.

"They have high standards. When you deal with all these teams, there are certain teams, that I won't mention, they don't really have as high a standard as the Steelers do; and I'm telling you right now, the Steelers do," said Sunseri.

He is also convinced the Twitter messages Holmes is leaving could be used against him in court, in any legal proceeding, and that he should stop right away.

The only thing that supports trading Holmes now is if 1) Ben gets charged and 2) If the Steelers are not planning on re-signing Holmes. If Ben isn't here next season we will be struggling to win 7 games and we might as well get some trade value and possibly trade up in next years draft for a QB.

i would think we could get a second round pick for holmes maybe a low first round pick. i dont know how much his incidents and twitter affect his value though. just basing his performance and numbers he is worth a low first or second. if we are talking about a 3 round pick we might be better off letting him play his contract out and not re-sign him. wouldnt we at least get a 3rd round pick as compensation?
