April Fools Mock Draft - April 1st

KDraft Industries: April Fools Day

KDraft Industries brings you an April Fools Day edition of the 2010 NFL Draft. Don't take this mock draft seriously. Some picks are jokes some are serious. Can you find the jokes?

That is the ultimate question, is it a joke or not. Technically speaking... the phrase, "it is opposite day," is never correct. If it was opposite day, one would be required to say it is opposite day. Similarly, if it is not opposite day one would also be required to say it is not opposite day. Therefore, after further review never consider the phrase it is not opposite day helpful when determining if it is opposite day or not.

Listen to the next few things the person says and use your previous knowledge of that person to determine if it is in fact opposite day. However. today is not opposite day. It is April 1st, or April Fools Day.
April Fools Day Mock Draft

Picks 1 - 16
Happy April 1

1. St. Louis Rams:
Tim Tebow, HB, Florida
Too much hype on Tebow not to draft him. But the Rams don't draft him as a QB, they don't draft quarterbacks in the 1st round. They want him as a half-back. They might consider playing him at Safety or Tight End. They'll have to evaluate their running back situation and see if Tebow fits in there first. They aren't really sure what to do with their roster.

2. Detroit Lions:
Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
The Best Wide Receiver on the Board.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
Jon Gruden would be proud. You can never have to many quarterbacks.

4. Washington Redskins:
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
Move over $100 million investment. Suh is in town.

5. Kansas City Chiefs:
Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
Jimmy Clausen - Charlie Weis - Together again - Move over Matt - This is Jimmy's Team

6. Seattle Seahawks:
Everson Griffen, DE, USC

7. Cleveland Browns:
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
Mike Holmgren isn't sure what to do with the QB situation in Clevland... but he knows the more the better. Colt joins the party in Cleveland.

8. Oakland Raiders:
Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
Al Davis is thrilled to see the top rated tackle on his board fall to him at #8. But he has bigger plans in the 1st round... he just needs to contact his favorite trading partner... the Patriots.

9. Buffalo Bills:
C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
The Bills thought they would address their biggest strength. They want to have the best running backs in the league and the worst O-Line.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars:
Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
After having no chance to draft an offensive tackle in last years draft... they jump on the opportunity to draft Russell Okung, filling a huge need.

11. Denver (f/ CHI):
Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida
Josh McDaniels thinks he can coach Spikes to run faster. Josh is just that good.

12. Miami Dolphins:
Armanti Edwards, QB, Appalachian State
Wild-Cat - NUFF said

13. San Francisco 49ers:
Mike Iupati, OG, Idaho
Iupati is a Mauler - SIngletary Likes Maulers

14. Seattle Seahawks (f/DEN):
Joe McKnight, RB, USC
Pete Carrol loves his USC products. Why else would he come to the NFL? Well because he has 2 first round picks.

15. New York Giants:
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Giants improve their defensive line with one of the best in the draft. After a drastic fall Gerald McCoy was taken out of the green room and into Rodger's (the commish) care.

16. Tennessee Titans:
Chris Brown, RB, Oklahoma
Country Music move over... Chris Brown is coming to town. Watch out Nashville.

17. Oakland Raiders:
Jacoby Ford, WR, Clemson
There has been a trade.
The San Francisco 49ers chose not to pursue Donovan McNabb, but instead acquired JaMarcus Russell from the Raiders for the 17th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft. I hear they had internal discussions about acquiring Micheal Vick but decided to go with a quarterback who was more recently selected with the #1 overall selection in the NFL Draft.

Now what does Al Davis do with the pick? Speed, Speed, Speed. Al Davis heard the rumor that Jacoby Ford ran track in college... then looked at his sub 4.3 forty yard dash... and Al Davis decided Jacoby Ford was the top ranked player on his board. Although, he forgot about him at #8 because he had dosed off and woke up just in time to yell out Bruce Campbell name. He had thought, Jacoby would have been taken in the first 7 selections.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers:
Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
The Steelers are confused when Berry is still on the board... but they can't resist.

19. Atlanta Falcons:
Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
Dreadlocks in the defensive backfield is the new trend. They are looking to grab Patrick Robinson in the 2nd round as well.

20. Houston Texans:
Earl Thomas, FS, Texas
Hometown Product.

21. Cincinnati Bengals:
Jeremiah Masoli, QB, Oregon
The Bengals were happy to see Masoli get the approval of Rodger Goodell to enter the NFL draft after stealing a few computers from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house at the University of Oregon... they would like to help him shed his reputation of being a criminal so they decided to take him under their wing.

22. Oakland Raiders:
LeGarrette Blount, RB, Oregon
There has been a trade

The Raiders receive: the 22nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

The Patriots Receive: The Raiders 2012 1st round pick
The Raiders 2013 1st round pick
and Richard Seymour

With this selection Al Davis thought it would be good to get someone on the team who can throw a punch better than Tom Cable.

23. Green Bay Packers:
Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
The Packers love when top talent falls to them... Aaron Rodgers ring a bell (49ers fans remember it well).

24. Philadelphia Eagles:
Corey Peters, DT, Kentucky
Andy Reid hopes this linemen named Peters will produce as many sacks as Jason Peters did last season.

25. Baltimore Ravens:
Adam Gunn, OLB, Pittsburgh
Joe Flacco said he wanted weapons to work with... he got just that.

26. Arizona Cardinals:
Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama
Similar to last year... they get a steal with a late first round pick.

27. Dallas Cowboys:
Matt Dodge, P, East Carolina
Jerry Jones wants to keep his scoreboard where it is... so he looked at his board, and saw a group of punters at the bottom and decided to go with the one he thought could dodge the board the best.

28. San Diego Chargers:
Dexter McCluster, RB, Ole Miss
Big Backs? Who needs them?

29. New York Jets:
Joe Haden, CB, Florida
Rex Ryan was infuriated when he saw LeGarrette Blount get taken by the Raiders... he had plans to start his own MMA group on the team and LeGarrette was his center piece to the group he wanted to construct. However, you can't have enough corners. Rex knows best

30. Minnesota Vikings:
Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
The Williams-Wall will continue for several more years. Look for them to go after Mick Williams, DT, Pittsburgh in the 2nd round.

31. Indianapolis Colts:
Maurkice Pouncey, C/G, Florida
The Colts know what they're doing. Don't question it.

32. New Orleans Saints:
Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
More Weapons = More Points. Local player from LSU, the fans love it.
