Joey Porter arrested for DUI, assaulting a police officer
Posted by Mike Florio on March 27, 2010
Linebacker Joey Porter, one of the newest additions to the Arizona Cardinals, has become the latest addition to the Bakersfield jail.
Per TMZ, Porter has been popped for assaulting a police officer.
According to the report, a friend of Porter's was pulled over outside a Taco Bell. Joey pulled up, and a CHP officer smelled alcohol coming from Porter's car.
So when the officer asked for Porter's license, he refused to turn it over, rolling up the window to his vehicle. The officer then tried to reach in and unlock the door, and Porter slapped the officer's hand.
The officer grabbed Porter's arm, who got out of the car in a confrontational manner.
So the officer drew his pistol and ordered Porter onto the ground. Porter, apparently not fearing bullets after being shot in the ass in Denver, refused to comply. Eventually, he put his hands behind his head.
Porter was charged with three misdemeanors -- DUI, resisting arrest, and assault on a peace officer.
He's lucky he wasn't shot, again.
Porter recently signed with the Cardinals, only a few weeks after being cut by the Dolphins.

I am not a Porter fan... Yea, I appreciated to what he brought to the field on gameday, but I always hated his mouth... I embarassingly defended him while he was on our team when he was booted for his pre-game antics before the Cleveland game. And I actually agreed with all of the local bashers with some of his other issues... I just do not, nor ever did, think he was a good representation of "Steeler football"... He did us good on the field, but that's about it as far as I'm concerned... Idiots seem to find trouble one way or another, and this is a good example... Maybe he should "sucker punch" the DA as he did with the guy (Bengals player) at the casino in Las Vegas.
... Put the dude in jail... I could care less...

Think the Rooneys are sorry they didn't bring him back to the Steelers?

i was never a Porter fan. I thought his mouth was more than his talent and I always thought it was scheme and not him. He did have the good playoff game his Super Bowl winning season and that's all I can say about him.
Maybe because Porters personality is so far away from my personality or how they should conduct oneself.

Hilarious... The Peezy bashing is funny too.

When he could back up his mouth with his play on the field I didn't generally have problems with Porter.
BUT, he is about 3 yrs past that point......enough Joey!
