Does anyone remember this story
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Duke_ ... rosse_case (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Duke_University_lacrosse_case)
And thought this especially was interesting at the bottom of the page under Arrests and investigation timeline about false charges,,,,the chick was never prosecuted because the judge said "she may actually believe the many different stories that she has been telling" and "it's in the best interest of justice not to bring charges."
Point is, there are very F@#!ed people out there, and I'm not saying Ben is innocent but what about the credibility of this woman making accusations, and yes she is a woman not a girl...she's over 18
And what happened to Miss Magnum?
Arrest of accuser for attempted murder, assault and arson
On February 18th, 2010, Crystal Gail Mangum was arrested by the Durham police for attempted murder, assault, and arson. Mangum was arrested after her 9-year old daughter phoned 911 with a report of domestic violence

Exactly. Alot of people were speaking about these kids like they were guilty. She was a loon bat. It happens all the time.

That Duke lacrosse case had all the signs and symptoms of the players slinging racial slurs and essentially abusing the girl verbally. Then, she felt like her only recourse was to create a stink by accusing of rape/sexual-assaut. Create a stink she did. I think this case is very similar.
My GUESS here is that Ben was being a royal pr*ck and it eventually ticked off (at the very least) the girl and quite possibly friends of hers. If this is so, then the locals face this guy coming in regularly trying to humiliate people and making himself the center of attention. So now there is motivation and means to accuse of sexual assault. The McNulty case has already paved an easy path to coming across credible.
Water a plant and expose it to sunlight, eventually it will start to grow out.

and so why does Ben put himself into such situations where possible "loon bats" even have access to him? :stirpot

Ben needs to upgrade the firmware in his loon bat detector.

Not sure of the relevance. My point was people lie...they lie all the time.
