Hampton, Clark, El, Battle, Allen, and Jon Scott. Well, that changes the team needs a bit.

Now I'd say we need
1. CB
2. ILB
3. OL (Center, and maybe a tackle or RG)
4. RB
5. DL depth (NT or DE)
6. OLB depth

We could also add a FB, WR, TE, 2nd Olinemen, 2nd Dlinemen, and perhaps a QB (though our 3rd QB will likely be a vet) in the later rounds.

My stab...

1. Jared Odrick DE/DT PSU
2. Daryl Washington ILB TCU
3. Dominique Franks CB Oklahoma
4. J.D. Walton C Baylor
5. Andre Dixon RB UConn (originally Hardesty)
5c. Willie Young OLB NC ST
5c. O'Brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin*
6. Abe Koroma NT W. Illinois
7. Jim Dray TE Stanford
7c. Reynaud Camp FB Fresno St 5'11, 270

Schofield would likely be IRed for the year and hopefully ready to contribute in 2011.

5c. O'Brien Schofield OLB Wisconsin*

7. Jim Dray TE Stanford
7c. Reynaud Camp FB Fresno St 5'11, 270

1. Great pick
2. Don't think he'll drop that far but if he does, another great pick
3. Good pick
4. Great pick, but with this guard class being so weak I think he'll go a round earlier
5. Another great pick but about 3 rounds off. I'm hearing Hardesty could be a 2nd round pick now and latest a 3rd round pick. Same with Ben Tate.
5c. Good pick
5c. Good pick, definitely worth it.
6. Good pick, Worth the risk
7. Good pick
7c. Good pick

Yeah, I think Washington is a late 1st early 2nd round talent. I'm probably dreaming about getting him in the second.

Hardesty is a tough one to figure at this point. I guess I could go with Andre Dixon. I'll change it.

7c TE Brody Eldridge, Oklahoma

Davis has really good run blocking skills. He could help us immediately if he could find the field (RG maybe?) or maybe we could finally move Colon in. Davis and Colon could be a great run blocking combo. I love Carrington from what I've seen. He looked like a dynamite pass rusher at the Senior Bowl. He could help immediately when we are in nickel or dime as a DT or a DE.

Michah Johnson would mean that we'd have to move Timmons to Farrior's spot. I wonder if Timmons could handle making all the calls and adjustments.

I've seen you put Myron Rolle in other drafts. What do you like about this kid (besides his intelligence)? He never really produces much on the field. I'm not sure he could beat out Mundy.

Love the Tracy and Ross picks. They should make the team and provide nice depth/youth. I think both have the potential to develop into starters/spot starters.

I have been targeting Rolle on day 3 of the draft as a backup to Troy at strong safety to replace Tyrone Carter. I had been looking at free safeties earlier, such as Earl Thomas in round 1, Nate Allen in round 2, and Morgan Burnett, Major Wright, or Myron Lewis in rounds 3 or 4, but after re-signing Clark and signing Will Allen to back him up, I don't see a major need there anymore.

Rolle obviously has the intelligence, but he also has decent size to play strong safety and reasonable athleticism as well (not day one or even day two skill...but I think he'd be worth using one of our 5th round comp picks to compete with Mundy for a roster spot).

He was rated the top athlete overall when being recruited by colleges, and has a cousin who had a successful career as a DB in the NFL (Samari Rolle...he is not related to Antrel Rolle).

The following nugget is also noted on his Wikipedia page: "In the NFL Offseason he has been known to work out with Pittsburgh Steelers players such as Santonio Holmes, Ike Taylor, William Gay, James Farrior."

We might be able to pull off the Odrick/Washington combo if we were able to trade down in the first to nab Odrick, then use the pick(s) that we gained in that trade to trade up in the second to get Washington. I like Franks on day 2, and like Walton as well, but I highly doubt that he would last until the early portion of day 3. I think he is an early 3rd round, and possibly even borderline late 2nd round pick as the #2 center in the draft behind Pouncey.

1. Great pick
2. Good corner but I don't think he fits the Steelers CB mold. He's good in coverage but isn't a physical corner who will have his hands all over receivers.
3. Good pick
4. Good pick
5. Good pick. Steelers should be looking at more ILB's.
5c. Not a big fan of Rolle's either. He seems slow on the field (Reaction time). He's intelligent but he doesn't have good instincts. During the senior bowl he always seemed to break a step too late, which is Ok if you have Taylor May's speed but not Myron Rolle's. If you want a really good Safety that will probably be around in the 4th or 5th rounds, I would look at Terrell Skinner out of Maryland. I really like that guy. Him and Devin McCourty are the best sure tacklers in this years draft out of all the DB's, IMHO.
5c. Good pick
6. Good pick
7. Good pick
8. Good pick

I don't mind that draft. We'd get a lot tougher/stronger. Asamoah can play now. I do think we need a corner to challenge Gay. Lewis is not that guy. Other than that, I like it.

Here's my Bengals one:

1st Round
Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
6'5 251 lbs.

Analysis: Bengals still have a huge hole at TE, which was evident by re-signing Dan Coats. Gresham will provide a great red zone threat and help move the chains.

2nd Round
Carlton Mitchell, WR, USF
6'4 212 lbs.

Analysis: Big deep threat WR to help streach the field. Ocho and Bryant are a good #1 and #2 but we could use another WR to compete with Caldwell and Simpson for the #3 spot.

3rd Round
Thaddeus Gibson, OLB, Ohio State
6'2 240 lbs.

Analysis: With talk of Rey Maualuga possibly moving inside to play MLB, Gibson can add some depth at the SLB position.

3rd Round (Comp for TJ Housh)
John Jerry, OT/OG, Mississippi
6'5 328 lbs.

Analysis: A versatile O-Linemen that can play RG or RT.

4th Round
Terrell Skinner, S, Maryland
6'2 214 lbs.

Analysis: Excellent tackling safety. Needs some work in coverage but should help limiting any big runs.

5th Round
Mike Kafka, QB, Northwestern
6'3 225 lbs.

Analysis: A good developmental project. Our current backups are horrible, Kafka in 2 or 3 years I think will develop into a very solid starting QB.

6th Round
Abe Koroma, DT, Western Illinois
6'3 317 lbs.

Analysis: The Mike Brown pick. A 2nd-3rd round talent that drops to the 6th round due to character issues.

7th Round
Clifton Geathers, DE/DT, South Carolina
6'8 299 lbs.

Analysis: The extremely long limbed "little" brother of Robert Geathers. Needs a couple of years of refinement on the P.S. but is worth the risk for a 7th round pick.

Undrafted Players:

Brandon Sharpe, DE, Texas Tech
Troney Shumpert, S, UW - Whitewater
Brandon James, RB, Florida
Jake Ballard, TE, Ohio State
Stephen Williams, WR, Toledo

Hey! I have Jerry to us in round 4! You can't take him in round 3!

Now you can update your sig to reflect the latest mock.

I looked at the sig and decided to actually keep it for a little longer with those picks. I'm having second thoughts on drafting John Jerry. We have a lot of "young" developmental linemen, we actually don't need anymore, unless they are a significant upgrade like Pouncey.

So I'll be changing my Bengals mock again...
