Just saw the forecast on ESPN for the game:

17 degrees
snow showers
25 mph wind gusts with -1 degree wind chill

Brucey is going to have to use the running game tonight. Ben's not going to be able to throw the ball 35 times tonight, we just have to run and be physical. Should be interesting.

Ben's not going to be able to throw the ball 35 times tonight,

I'm sure Arians will test that theory. :)

Without Shaun Rodgers in the middle you guys should run the ball 50+ times...

well hopefully the browns will not throw the ball too much tonight either, because if they do we may put brady quinn into the hall of fame....

im excited, i love watching football being played in the cold, warm weather football does not do it for me, i hated playing in it and watching it does not have the same effect either (still great though, dont get me wrong)

Ben can throw in bad conditions. This should be an advantage.

Like MasterCard, some of these comments are "priceless".

It is VERY cold and windy here today.

:brownssuck

Let's go Steelers for a V tonight.

I got a good laugh out of this one...

Steelers 35, Browns 14

Comment: Wile E. Coyote won more often against the roadrunner.

In 2003, the man who some feel should be Steeler head coach instead of that overpaid janitor guy, Ken Whisenhunt called for 38 Tommy Maddox passes in a blizzard against the Jets. Tommy completed only 42% of those passes for 137 yards. He only ran 24 times, including just 16 for Bettis, who was rushing for a respectable 4.3 yards per carry that day). Meanwhile, Curtis Martin got 30 carries for 174 yards to lead the Jets to a 6-0 victory, officially eliminating the Steelers from playoff contention that year.

I was just going to bring that game up. Arians better not pull a Whiz.

I don't think BA can find it in him to run the ball more than pass. I believe he thinks the football gods will steal his soul.

eww thanks ruthless for reminding me of 2003, that year was pretty bad, you know its not your year when you play your 1000th game at home against the rams and you get destroyed in the wet rainy mess........

This is great news. Not for the offense so much as it will limit the exposure of our secondary. We aren't too shabby at stopping the run.

This just might be the refreshing good ol' fashion Steelers slugfest that we need.

I'm sure Arians will test that theory. :)

I'll be more interested to see if LeBeau can challenge the theory that bottom feeder teams wil destroy our secondary in the 4th Quarter.

We'll see how he tests that.

With 25 mph winds, I don't think it will be tested. They gods are on our side this time.

It was Mularky who called the 38 passes vs NYJ in 03, not Whiz. Anyway, :brownssuck :brownssuck :brownssuck :brownssuck :brownssuck :brownssuck

And that effort was so inspiring that the Bills named him head coach shortly thereafter, since they obviously wanted someone who was not afraid to run an aerial offense with Drew Bledsoe in the blizzards of Buffalo. They were full of Mularkey! On the flip side, Cardinal fans are full of Whiz, which explains the long bathroom lines at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Yeah, unless one of our LBs ends up with a season ending hang nail or something like that! This has been an odd season.

Well, I guess BB will throw 30+ times after all and Mendy will run the ball >15 times and we'll lose.
