....because the Book-makers saw a golden opportunity!!!

Yank Ben last minute, jump the spread up to 9 pts, and watch everybody
and their mama bet on the Rats to kill the Steelers with a 3rd-string, untested,
nobody QB. What could be easier! It's like taking candy from a baby.

But wait, the Steelers covered easily.....Haha, the bookmakers get over again!

What makes it more believable is the RANT on national TV by Hines Ward....

After careful consideration, I have figured it out. It's like the WWE....

What acting....its so obvious.....

The NFL is a BS, plain and simple!

Retarded posts like this make the good conspiracy theories look bad.

First off, the original line was set at Baltimore 2.5 and was YANKED off the shelf by tuesday. There was no line all week until the night before the game when it was official that Ben wasn't playing.
Then the adjusted line was at 7.5 - 9 which is where it should have been.

This was what I was thinking.
These type of goofy thoughts are what suppress the real conspiracies in this country. And believe me there are plenty.

Bash me, and call the post retarded all you want.

Don't believe it, I ain't your keeper...

But I've been around sports-betting for more than 20-years, and my experience
tells me that the NFL is, and always will be, the largest money-maker for the
book-makers in Vegas and around the World. The money is HUGE!!!!

So go right ahead and call it some crazy, ridiculous conspiracy theory!!! It's a
free World.

This whole situation with Ben playing and Ward making statements that he should
have played, and blah...blah...is all about driving the RATINGS thru the ROOF!!
It gets the public wanting more, and more they shall get!!! And the richer and
richer get the book-makers, and whomever else has a PIECE of the NFL PIE!!

If people are dumb enough* to put up large chunks of their hard earned money on sports betting then the bookmakers are entitled to get filthy rich. Welcome to the Land of the American Dream - and a sucker born every minute.

*Apologies to those battling legitimate gambling addictions...

And just to clarify, you are suggesting that Hines and Ben are in cahoots with a NFL/Bookmakers conspiracy? That Ben not playing and Hines calling him out were both premeditated "acts" for which they received handsome payments from the NFL/bookmakers mafia? This is very interesting. Very interesting
