This one should be a "sit back, watch and enjoy" type game but I have a funny feeling it will end up being closer than it should be. I think it's close for the first half but the Steelers eventually pull away in the second half...with a slight Chiefs resurgence in the 4th quarter.

Steelers - 31
Chiefs - 21

Chiefs are unfortunately going to run into a Steelers team that is ticked off after last week. They will not be taking any prisoners but will be taking lots of Chiefs' scalps.

Steelers-34
Chiefs-13

Only a late TD gets the Chiefs into double digits.

We've seen Cassel before with a better Patriots team. KC struggled to get 16 against Oakland.

But this being the Steelers, they probably let them hang in there like the Lions. I'm thinking a 4th qurter score wraps it up way later then it needs to be.

The Chiefs have a bad defense and they make up for it by having an even worse offense.

For a change of pace, Logan returns one for a TD.

Steelers - 31
Chiefs - 9

I'm done being optimistic. Time to change strategies. Here's my Bermanesque prediction:

Steelers 18
Chiefs 16

The ONLY hope for the Chiefs in this one is to win the turnover outcome by a +3 margin, run Jamal Charles 25 times for 100 yards+ and sack Big Ben 3 times. Even then, I still like the Steel in this one.

D Bowe being suspended does not help the home team at all. The Chiefs' best weapon is the rook K, Succop and that's a sad commentary.

My fearless prediction: Steel 30 Chiefs 6

Sucks to be you guys right now. I lived in Leavenworth (not the big house) for a year and I always found the Chiefs and their fans to be a classy group. I hope you guys get it turned around.

Upset Special:

Chiefs score on a pick-6 and a kickoff return. Steelers get a touchdown from RM and dominate in every catagory, except score:

Chiefs- 14

You could top that off ...

Steelers with 4 FGs and 3 safeties
Chiefs with two TDs, two missed PATs, and 2 safeties

First, glad for you not to be in maximum security! The locals are still nervous about being fingered for the Gitmo transfers, by the way.

I do believe the Rooneys and Hunts, Steelers and Chiefs, Pittsburgh and KC have much in common among their fan base, values and support of their team. You would know about the tough times for the Steel before the 70s? That's where the Chiefs are right now and it's painful to watch, painful to attend games and it's also distraught to feel the team has lost its way.

I think, given the timelines, both fan bases can identify with this? Since the merger in '70 though, it's always been a rush to play Pittsburgh and even given the imbalance of talent here in 2009, it will STILL be a thrill.

Anymore, we seem to play down to our competition. Remember the Lions earlier?

Way to burst my bubble!

I think the O has some identity issues right now. Still, KC doesn't have alot on defense. So we will see.

Btw, has KC EVER played in Pittsburgh? hehe.

Sure seems like they don't, does it? I used to hate seeing the Steelers having to go to KC all the time in the 90s.

Depends on which Steelers show up. Are these the Steelers that played in Denver two weeks ago? Or are they the Steelers from last week?

Not feeling good right now. Hopefully I am wrong, wrong, wrong!

Denver was a bad team. I want a victory and forced turnovers as in the Minnesota game.
