Now this is something that has bugged me for a while. For a tall guy, Ben sure seems to get more then a fair share of passes tipped at the line.

There have been a lot... not just today, but all season.
Ben is a big guy, but he has a low release.
Also, our O-line has come together, but they are still not the best pass blockers.
It's been happening a lot. Not really sure who to blame. Probably a little of both. Ben needs to do a better job of sliding and finding throwing lanes. But the O-line has to do a better job of staying engaged so the d-line can't recognize the pass and get their arms up so easily.

They are happening because Ben is not an elite QB!
This is an ongoing joke between stlrz d and me so calm down everyone!

The reality is that the Bengals pass rush held their rush lanes extremely well and didn't allow Ben to slide or move to release the ball. They simply did a great job in the pass rush today. Regardless, of how tall Ben is, the linemen aren't short men either, so, without a lane to throw the ball you get batted balls.
It was just a combination of good defense and an off day by the offense.
