I can not believe Correll got up of what was left of him. Dont get me wrong, I do not wish permanent injury on my worst enemy but that may be one of the hardest hits that I have seen on a non QB since maybe the Anquan Boldin hit. Sometimes players are slipping so the tackle or hit looks worst than it is. Those were two opposing forces where something had to give. Anyways, I searched everywhere and still nothing.

I'm pisssed off, cuz I couldn't get anyone to record the game for me. I saw the 1st quarter online, then saw the rest of a game at my friends hose but no VCR to record. I'd really like to see that Harrison hit again and again and again.

Here's the hit. The referee is right there and obviously did not think Harrison was trying to go helmet to helmet. Either that or he was afraid to throw the flag with Harrison so close to him :shock:

At full speed you can't see him lower his head, but in slow motion you can. He could have easily drawn a flag on that play. It dodn't appear the Buckhalter dipped his head much at all and Silverback lowered his head and then shoulder. I think the flag wasn't thrown, because, Silverback didn't launch himself.

Two thoughts on the hit;

1 - I am thankful that someone as big, mean, and fast as James Harrison has a job. I do not want him walking around unemployed.

2 - Love how the Steeler defense immediately went back to work. No excessive whooping and hollering. They lined up on the ball (see Farrior) and waited for play to resume. Scary dudes.

Thanks for the links!
I am in Patriot/NY Giant/NY Jet land here in central CT so I want to send this clip around work showing a Steeler LB with an appetite for destruction.

Initially I thought we got a major call when they said Mendenhall didn't fumble on teh goal line.....but the ball got jarred loose on this hit as well. You can see it move around while Buckhalter is in mid air.

Starting at the :30 mark you can see CB is low and James is simply trying to get lower.

Good no call.

I like the little spontaneous victory lap that Harrison does after that hit. Flag for taunting? :P :tt2
