They chronicle every snap that Ziggy played during the Detroit game. To my untrained eye, he looked pretty good!

Definitely room for improvement, but as a 3-4 DE, he does a pretty good job of standing up the O-lineman to let the LB's make the tackle.

Looking forward to watching him this week...

I'll have to watch Short Cuts today.

I did recall seeing him on one play last week: I remember thinking 2 things.
#1: he looked bigger than his listed weight ...seemed to have a wider body than i thought
#2: he made some penetration thru the line but then looked lost in pursuit.

First off, what's with the porn music???

Anyway, he looked pretty good. Got a good push on pass plays. Was single blocked a few times but held the point of attack. With time he should get a feel for when to come off of those blocks to make a play as the RB gets close to him.

He was double teamed a few times and taken out of the play, but it's damn hard to hold the point of attack when two men who individually weigh the same (or more than you) are on you. But that's a double team, so it's freeing up someone else to make a play.

I'm excited to see how he'll play against the Browns. :tt2

Not bad. He lined up all over the place. 4 or 5 snaps at RDE (3 & 5 technique) and one at nose (he got stood up) with the rest at LDE. I noticed that he's not exceptionally quick off the ball. It looked like he had decent enough explosion coming out of his stance but I never really saw him beat his man off the snap. For the most part I thought he showed good motor, the ability to shed, and held is own at the point of attack. On one play he powered the TE and LT double-team right into the quarterback's face after coming off the ball nicely. Too bad he flat-out missed the sack on Culpepper on that 12-yard, first down scramble.

For a rook, you gotta think that he looks like he's going to be fine...and he's only going to get better.

All, I have to say is it's a good thing the Steelers have Kirschke and others to help hold down Smith's spot for the rest of the year. And, that includes Ziggy, but he's clearly not ready to play on a regular basis.

Pap, you got that from watching that video? Man, like i said, I have an untrained eye, but I saw nothing in those clips that would make me say that Hood isn't ready to play full-time.

Dear Mama is porn music.... the same sample was used by De La Soul on a we love radio skit before Bitty's in the BK Lounge..

that's some love making porn music cause it's a little too slow in tempo to get the pounding on.. LOL

I wouldn't mind seeing him more in 3rd down passing situations as one of 2 down lineman. I think you could get a lot of QB pressure with Hood/Hoke on passing downs.

The only think I saw is that at times, he wasn't decisive enough, especially when he broke through, he seems to be more worried about Pep making a move on him, which slowed him to the point where he was able to be picked up by the offensive lineman. If he breaks on him, he forces him . . . but that will most assuredly come with time.
