PIT - 383.8 (6) OPP - 279.8

Points per game

PIT - 21.2 (15) OPP - 19.5 (12)

Defense

279 ypg (5) 218.2 pypg (15) 61.5 rypg (3) 8 sacks

TDs

PIT 10 OPP 10 (2 defensive/sp teams)

Turnover Ratio

-5

Time of Possession

PITT 35.24 OPP 25.43

Clearly, we have an overwhelming statistical advantage in yards and time of possesion. Unfortuately, we have lost the big play battle (turnovers, defensive/sp teams TDs, sacks, 4th Q points, etc.). Still, I feel pretty good about a lot of these numbers. We are a better offensive team than last year and our defense should play better and make more big plays with Troy coming back.

the turnover ratio is awful. its been a really long time that that stat has been that bad for the steelers. the defense needs to start forcing some turnovers. i agree the offense is a lot better this season

we lost the turnover battle in 03, and the late 90's...we need to start causing some, we got a lucky one at the end of the SD game, if we did not than it would of been 3 straight games without one....ridiculous

Good post. We have a lot of upside this year. Tighten a few screws and we're good.

I suspect they will soon.
