It's is sort of like therapy for most of us.

-It seems as if the Oline has played well 2 weeks in a row and gave Ben plenty of time to throw and opened up some running lanes against an improved Bengals D.
-Hines has decided he's not going to get old and keep playing strong.
-Wallace is a freaking steal
-Gay made some key stops today
-Taylor had a solid game

Ben looked strong, very strong.

Mine from another thread:

Ben looked good yet again, early in the game the O line opened some holes for Parker, Parker ran well when he had some blocking and Wallace really stepped up his game.

Defensively, even without Troy, we were aggressive and successful early in the game.

1) Parker showed he's also a threat catching the ball.

Adds a sh*tload to his value compared to the other RBs now - one of the big things people said was he can't be put in wide because he can't catch. Now he's got that threat too.

2) Parker looked strong - made people miss, bounced off people and kept running (didn't go down at the first touch like in the first two games).

respectfully, looking for positives after a loss is the national pastime in cleveland, cincy, detroit etc. we're the defending SB champions, we shouldn't have to look for positives - they should be obvious and glaring. I apologize for the rant but i don't ever want to have to look for good things with the steelers. we had a spell of that in the late 80's and i've worked hard to block those years from my memory.

we lost. there's nothing good about it.

If your family is safe and healthy, be thankful
If you are gainfully employed, be thankful
If you have children and they aren't always in trouble, be thankful

I could list many more positive, but, I'll leave that up to you create your own list.

Skippy didn't miss all his field goal attempts.

Sweed caught a ball.

If the game had been 59 minutes long, the Steelers would have won.

It's not helping.

-Big Snack registered a sack and has 1 more than Woodley on the year.
-Ben threw 2 td passes one happened to be to Cincy.

On a serious note....
-A 10 yard cushion isn't enough to stay in front of Mike Wallace.

1) we have one more win than the Browns

2) at the current rate it's looking real good that BA will be shown the door at the end of the season

3) we will have a stud RB all fresh at the end of the season when the games count

-I thought Ryan Clark played a pretty decent game.
-Timmons looked strong attacking the run at times.
-Mike Wallace is emerging
-Sweed... errr.. he sure gets open, don't he? Of course if you can't catch, why cover him.
-Logan had a nice return and i love seeing him in on ST tackles

Ben should have thrown 3 td passes (if sweed holds on and Wallace stays in bounds). If that happens, we win easily and the Bengals and still Ben's gal.

Wallace is developing nicely.

The O-line was good.

Logan had a nice return and a good special teams tackle.

The defense was great for 3 quarters (without Troy).

POSITIVES:
Troy is NOT out for the season
our pass rush has yet to click
it's still september
Ben is still Ben
the O-Line's pass blocking is much improved
this draft class might be very special
we aren't Buffalo Bills fans

That stroke I was working on last night never happened.

My heart didn't fail either.

Jiga is not really a phuckface.

Ruthless knows everything. :o

Mike Tomlin is still full of witty Tomlin -isms.

Chadman is still funny. :D

Stlrz_d is right about the coaching yesterday.

Jooser hasn't been eliminated from the "Pick a Loser Contest".

Jooser won his second straight FF game this weekend.

...and despite the fact that we lost to the Bungles yesterday, the sun did in fact rise again this morning!

You guys going up to the tailgater this Sunday need to get this team straightened out this weekend!

The Browns might actually give the 0-16 Lions a run for their money.

You beat me to it. We aren't Browns fans having to witness yesterday what I thought was the most pathetic professional football I have see in a long time. The Browns are absolutely inept on offense (and the D is only a tad better than inept).

Back to the Steelers:

1) the wide receiver screen is really starting to take shape. I think it can be relied on to help control blitzing Ds.

2) the 'Bunch' formation, which I openly despised last year, is starting to pay dividends. I think a lot of its success right now is pure speed we have at WR. Notice that Wallace was catching short routes as well as long so you can't base your D thinking he will only be running fly patterns or deep posts.

3) special teams are no longer the worry they were last year....in fact I look at them as being potential game changers now with Logan in there.

I'll go one better.... Logan as an RB catching passes out in the flat with Heath and Hines blocking?.... I can't see any reason why that wouldn't yield us 7+ yards at the very least. Think Darren Sproles.

Ward looked good as always (props to his 10,000 yards )
Ben looked good as always
Wallace is for real
Ike is one of the best and Deon Sanders thinks so too
Our O-line didn't look bad either
Login made the best of his opportunities IMHO
Gay held his own, still hate his or any players antics after they do well.

No major injuries.

The OL looked decent (only 2 sacks)

Special teams were OK.

Next weeks game is a nationally televised night home game in which we are practically
unbeatable!

What's of the matter ? As the string request, name some positives.

Ben was accurate and was doing well. He can't catch them too. Neither can Santonio or Lima for that much.

Hines caught the ball when thrown to. Sure I wished he could have found the endzone but I wish that for all our offensive players.

The o-line got Willie closer to 100 yards than any other game. They gave up only one sack and Ben was pretty well protected.

By the way, I'm happy that Willie finally caught a pass and he scored with it too.
