View Full Version : Alex Mack Update

I know there were a lot of people pulling to draft Alex Mack so I thought I would give this quick update according to the local horn:

"Alex Mack is not ready for prime time. He has been directly responsible for 10 pts this week by the Broncos and 10 pts last week by the Vikings".

Apparently he is having trouble with hikes out of the shotgun and a few fumbled exchanges. I am surprised Mangini is sitting Fraley in favor of Mack at this point unless he has already decided to write this season off and hopes to draft a real NFL QB early next year.

(It is also true that this team has WAY more problems than center. I think Mack will be good...just not this year.)

To be fair I should add that he has had no penalties for holds, false starts and apparently no sacks allowed.

EDIT: a little skeptical on these stats since the site I took them from also said that Kemo is the only one responsible for sacks on the OL this season....that is highly doubtful

centers in the first round will always be an intersting discussion on both sides.

i still think the steelers interest in mack was just a smokescreen for eric wood, which didn't work out anyhow.

Hasn't he already been selected for his first Pro Bowl or was that before the draft? I can't remember.

I blame Mangina. He probably told Mack he was going to play TE right up until kickoff...

I'm just glad that Mangina decided to start queer bait Quinn over Derek Anderson. IMO- wrong move....
