Kind of an odd way of looking at it, but none the less legitimate. I didn't go past Troy at 16, but I was kind of surprised at how little competition most of these players faced to get the nod in their slot. This makes what we've done collectively with our first round picks in the past decade all the more impressive.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. I am also surprised that Hampton, Holmes and Miller weren't at least listed at their draft positions. They've played fairly well.

Especially Holmes considering that he wasn't even considered at a position won by Jon Beason with consideration given to Jason Campbell.....yes, I said Jason Campbell!!

Neat article, although I wish they would show a breakdown of each guy picked in each slot. I'm also surprised that Heath Miller wasn't at least considered (even though I'd give the nod to Wayne, no question).

I also think Hampton deserves more consideration at 19 -- an argument can be made for him over Cromartie, and certainly he should be the runner up over Otah.

Hampton should have definitely made it over Cromartie. Cromartie had one great season and that's it. He didn't do much his rookie season, did great his second season and did horrible his 3rd season and he's better than Hampton because of that?
