Now that the comp picks have been determined ( ), the 2009 draft order has been finalized. We get picks 32, 64, 96, 132, 168, 169, 205, 226, and 241. Who was picked in those slots last year? Let's find out...

1.32 (32) DE Phillip Merling (Dolphins)
2.32 (64) RB Kevin Smith (Lions)
3.32 (96) OG Chad Rinehart (Redskins)
4.32(132) TE Derek Fine (Bills)
5.32(168) P Durant Brooks (Redskins)
5.33(169) DE Trevor Scott (Raiders)
6.32(205) WR Pierre Garcon (Colts)
7.17(226) WR Chaz Schilens (Raiders)
7.32(241) OT Geoff Schwartz (Panthers)

Merling...in that 15th-19th spot (where usually all the 1st round Defensive prospects start to come off the board) for the longest time, no way looking like he would make it to the Steelers. While slowling working his way back to the 2nd during the draft process. Which started with one report.

Tyson Jackson anyone?

What i get from said list of selections is that we have nine picks most of which will simply be cannon fodder. If i were Colbert i'd package a 3rd, 6th (and our first) to move up and take Rey. And then use the rest in whatever fashion to select,...

Macho (Cb)

Shipley (C)

Potter (DE)

Cornelius Lewis (OT/OG)

Johhny Knox. (WR/KR)

In essence we'd walk away with six players whom will actually be productive. But that's just what i've come up with in light of us getting 'jerked' on the comp pick.

I was looking at the players and then realized the Patriots cheating is why the picks are that way...

Yup...the first pick in round two was actually the 32nd overall pick last year because New England forfeited their pick at #31.

interesting... thats a huge departure from what you've been saying the last month.
I thought you would at least stick to your mock draft.

Not really SCR,..Rey,Macho, Potter, and Cornelius remain. Let's just say the whole comp pick fiasco,..caused me to 'tweak' things a bit. Though,..don't get it twisted,...my 'Pat White pimp hand' remains "StronglikKong".

Look more closely. It's no different that Clark leading with his shoulder on McGahee and there being H to H as a result of the violent collision.

Taylor is a big kid,...and he was attempting to KO Norwood with his shoulder. Norwood saw it coming and began to react in such a way as to almost duck causing his head to take his portion of the tackle. And unfortunately Kevin was left to receive the shot to the chest that was meant for that area (chest) upon Norwood.

It was flagged,..but it was unintentional. Taylor is a Monster, but he's not dirty. And i use it (the hit) in the sig as a testament to Trojan physicality and talent. FIGHT ON !
