We should start a wager on who the "very recognizable name" is......

Very Recognizable implies celebrity.

How 'bout Hank Williams Jr.

PITTSBURGH (AP)—Pittsburgh Steelers’ president Art Rooney II says he and his father Dan Rooney are looking for additional partners.

The Rooneys are seeking investors so they can buy shares from Dan Rooney’s brothers that would separate the Steelers from the family’s gaming interest and satisfy NFL rules regarding ownership equity.

Art Rooney says one potential investor has been approved by the NFL’s finance committee and the others will go before the committee as part of ownership meetings next week in California.

Art Rooney isn’t saying who the potential investors are, but said Thursday one is a “very recognizable name.”
Three partners were added last year: Hollywood producer Thomas Tull, Tennessee businessman James Haslam III and the Paul family of Pittsburgh.

I hate Rush Limbaugh and would throw up in my mouth if he owned a part of the Steelers.

The Rooneys would have nothing to do with Rush Limbaugh. Dan is tight with Obama & Rush is Obama's Public Enemy #1.

Don't mind any new partners as long as they are the 'silent' type. Let Rooney run the team in peace and let the partners watch their capital grow.

OK- It's me.

3 more partners means 3 less seats for those of us on the waiting list........

Perhaps former Pirates owner Kevin McClatchy wants to get back into the sports ownership business and could impart all of his genius about running a successful franchise to the Rooneys.

Seriously, though...perhaps Pittsburgh native Mark Cuban?

Then you value party politics or worse race over your country, how sad.

Yeah. its not like half of the liberal population were rooting against Bush's policies or anything. Did you call them out too or does it only count for someone with a (D) after their name?????

Many people on either side are partisan first, American second. I have NO problem calling them out -- as long as you are fair and call out the offenders on both sides.
