My wife and I only live an hour from Tampa and we own a house my Dad is renting that is 10 minutes from USF (Steeler Practise site) so we caught in a few good moments.

On thurs we went to USF. 1st cool thing we saw was Tomlin arriving with an escort of 3-4 motorcycle police. He got out on cell phone--I got a quick pic. Then saw the steelers practising from afar. It was a little far for the naked eye to see anything but had some binoculars and could make out numbers and see some practise activity.
When practise was over we (about 30-40 fans) saw most all the steelers load up on the bus about 10-15 feet from us. Tyrone Carter and J Retkofsky (or whatever our longsnappers name is) each gave auto's to about everyone. Troy gave a couple as well as Foote. It was really their last practise and had a guy outside grilling for them so they basically got a boxed lunch and were ready to get back to the hotel. This was really cool because we were so close to them. (also saw hines get on bus--He looked a little down like he had a bad day with the knee)

On Friday night me and the mrs headed to Don Shulas Steak House. The 1st person we saw was Shula himself. There were a hoard of Steeler fans all around the place as Shula's is at the Intercontinental where the Steelers are staying. After dinner we hung around the hotel and saw Woodley pass by and Hartwig and Stapleton hanging out by the elevator with family. I then made a went closer to the elevator turned around and Harrison passed right by me gave an auto to a couple and quickly was out the door. I looked behind me and T Carter was right next to me--He was just hanging in the lobby with a family memeber . He was very cool and seemed to the most fan friendly.

Channelside---This is where the NFL Network and Sportscenter were most of the week. We went into the embassy suites and starbucks to let my little girl to pee. So I sat down to wait when A.Samuel walked right by me. He had a couple of friends and a few women with him.
We then went to Jacksons to have a bite by the water, when I saw T Wingo shaking hands with aboout 3-4 fans about 10 feet from out booth.

Notes: I know I saw 10-15 NFL Players but it is very hard to recognize them without their jerseys and numbers.

Also all around town you see Cadillacs with Michigan plates. I guess Caddy loans out cars to the impt people and the players for the week. D. Townsend and Ike and other members of the secondary had their own Escalades that they left in after practise on Thursday.

There are a hoard of Steeler Nation in town---Every day I saw hundreds of Steeler fans and cars around town. I heard we are going to out number them 10-1. I only saw 3 Cardinal fans in town all weekend up till friday--Sat around channelside I saw many more.

I will post some pics I have every now and then on this thread--- I tried to post some vidio of Troy but it seems videos don't post well to this site. Also we have no Steeler tix as of yet but are still hoping.

Yeah I go to O-town for a few conferences each year and drive right by there. Too bad we didn't try to communicate and have a drink or two.
