5TH RND: T TAYLOR DT MICHIGAN

Joe Burnett woud be awesome though I hope in a later round.

Other potential PR/KR I have in mind:

Aaron Brown RB/KR
Bryan Williams SS/KR

I actually have Joe Burnett as my first choice among the list.

Raji, I believe, will be long gone before the 32nd pick and I think Lindley will be late 1st to mid 2nd.

My hope is for an OG/OT in the first 2 rounds but obviously depends on the available players at that time. I wouldn't be adverse to a DE in the 2nd and Topou and Urbik are great picks in the late 3rd. Troy Kropoq too if he drops this far.

I could definitely live with that if it played out that way. I think you would probably have to go for Tupou in Round 2 and I wonder if Shipley lasts past Round 5. I do like the bodies you have identified though. I'd do the following:

I like it although I'm not familiar with all the players all the top of my head. I'm mainly looking at the first 4 picks. Instead of choosing another OT in round 3b, I would like the Steelers to select another DE. I think we need some serious depth for Smith and Keisel. I would like it if we went this way in the first 4 picks: oline, oline, dline, dline .. in any order... Then, CB, FS (if Smith isn't resigned), a WR/PR, and possibly another oline

He is more of a J Bettis than a FB from what Ive read.

He is more of a J Bettis than a FB from what Ive read.

In his junior year, he was like 275lbs and ran 4.7. He averaged 4.6yds per carry and 12 tds (169 carries for 780yds). However, he digressed his senior year after moving from TB to FB which didn't sit well for him. He showed up to camp overnight hitting almost 300lbs. He played most season about 290 and I believe he got down to 283 by end of season. He rushed 35 times for 93yds and 5 tds.

seems like we could have had the psychotic, faster version of alstott in the 4-5th round last spring with Owen Schmitt.

soo pissed we don't have him in the black and gold.

thats all the comments i have on the mocks so far, too busy focusing on the playoffs right now.

If I were king for the day I still make a trade with Seattle and get Schmitt in the off season. Offer a 5th round pick for a player who barely plays for them and to a team that needs to really rebuild.

Schmitt as a blocking and power running option greatly improves this offense.
