I had to go check who the ref was in the first Charger game. It was Scott Green. Whew.

My guess is that the league wasn't about to let the same crew do the second Steelers v. Chargers game no matter what. But the reality that Green's crew allowed the first game to become an absolute abortion just made the decision that much easier.
