If you could take one player off of any of the other 31 NFL teams, and add him to the Steeler's roster, which player would you take?

My choice would be Haloti Ngata. Can you imagine him playing for Pittsburgh? Great run stuffer, good pass rusher, and agile enough to drop back & cover the underneath zone. The dude is a FREAK.

My buddies and I were just talking about this. I'd either take the best olineman in football, whoever that may be, or Andre Johnson

Are you kidding!??

1. Terrell Owens
2. DeAngelo Hall
3. Chris Henry
4. Pacman Jones
5. Tank Johnson
6. Ryan Leaf (I know this one is against the rules as he is not on a roster but still).

Oh, my bad...wrong category...okay, all seriousness, here is my list:

1. Joe Thomas (yes a freakin Stain...and?)
2. Haynesworth probably
3. Andre Johnson -- drool. SN1 that is a $$$ pick.

Edit: 4. Nmadi Asmougha -- had to add him in here, he is dope too.

I think I'd go Joe Thomas. He's one of the best LT's in the league and he's only in his second year.

Haloti Ngota would run a close second.

Joe Thomas had a down year. Especially when compared to last yr.

2 of your 4 are going to be unrestricted free agents in 2009. Haynesworth and Asmougha.

Haynesworth and Aaron Smith on the same DL would be "sick"

Considering the OL problems that the Steelers have had in recent years, the best OL out there would probably be a wiser choice, and no doubt, Joe Thomas would look great in B&G. But I just got back from eating lunch at a sports bar, and on one of the kazillion TV's they had in there, one of the ESPN channels was showing some highlights of Ngata. It was pretty darn impressive. It sucks that the Steelers have to play against him twice every season.

I never said Chucky was a pro bowl caliber center. All I said was that he was better than Mahan. You saw Mahan play last year and Okobi play the year before in a starting role for multiple games. You don't agree looking back at it now?

Well I am not going to get into this on here as I did on the Trib board but going to practices over the years Morey was here I can say that the guy has some very very solid hands. His hands are just as good as Hines and better than anyone else on this team.

Well, so have the Browns.... but I think his upside is going to be in the "Anchor left tackle for a decade" category.

And Ngota well, he's just a beast.

You are all forgetting Rule #1 of Steeler free agency...it must be a Lion. Therefore, the obvious answer is the only 0-14 Detroit player of any value right now...Calvin Johnson. Duh.
