Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Jaguars.

Roethlisberger completed 26 of 41 passes for a season high 309 yards and three touchdowns in the 26-21 win over Jacksonville.

Its nice, but I like the win better, said Roethlisberger. That is all that matters to me. I am not going to lie and say its not a great honor, because it is. But to me its about team things and we won the game.

Roethlisberger led the Steelers on an 11-play, 80-yard game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, capping it off with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Hines Ward.

I would like to think this game was the spark that we needed, said Roethlisberger. We kind of struggled offensively the previous weeks and maybe this was the spark we needed to get going.

Roethlisberger plans on taking advantage of the time off this weekend with the bye to let his body heal.

I am going to relax and get away from it, said Roethlisberger. Its important to take some time and let the body heal and mentally get refocused. I dont have anything too serious, bumps and bruises and stuff like that. For me its getting those bruises worked out and feeling good next week.

Its a good way to go into the break. Its coming at the right time. Its a time for people who have bumps and bruises to really get healed up. I think well come back next week and feel really good about ourselves and where we are at.

Seems like we get a POW just about every week.

When that happens, you know your playmakers are stepping up.

Here's hoping it continues.

Thanks, Mel. I knew we were making the grade every week with our personnel... just didn't know we had so many. Thanks again.

On NFL.com, the GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Week was LaMarr Woodley for week 1 and Troy Polamalu for week 2. Woodley is one of five finalists for that same award for week 5.

A nun, a lunchlady, beer, meat on the grill, a frisbee dog, a Seinfeld bee, and the Steelers. What more could you possible ask for?

He should also get an award for offensive coordinator of the week...
