I want to share this with the board:

This week where I live is the annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. This is the second largest street festival in the country (behind Milwaukee's Summerfest). It's a 7 day affair and attracts around 150,000 throughout the week. I went there today with the wife for lunch & was there for about an hour and a half. I saw 3 Steeler shirts before I saw my first person wearing a Colts shirt.

This made me proud!!

:tt2

I can't stomach the Colts and their fans. I will have a hard time pulling for them against the Ratbirds on Sunday.

I'd rather see the Colts win... I like extra cushion in the division.

Thanks brother... I'm thinking about making a bye week sig-extravaganza for my fellow posters. What do ya think?

Make that two votes for your cool new sig! :tt1 :tt1 :tt1

I think it's a great idea for the new kids on The Planet and an enticement for some of the holdouts from the Trib Board to come over here.

BTW, my sig is outstanding and you did a marvelous job on it. It has gotten quite a few compliments, even a few from Clowns and That School Up North fans.

I love it when I see Steelers fans here in Cleveland. Those are the ones that know great football when they see it.

It's funny, but a month or so ago, I ran into a buddy of mine that I graduated HS with. During the course of the conversation, I just happened to bring up the fact that I am a Steelers fan and he was floored because he's a big fan, too, and this is something I never knew. He also added that another guy that graduated with us also became a Steelers fan by hanging out with him. All three of us have lived in Cleveland all our lives...but we are still hardcore Steelers fans.

Funny how great football permeates every region of the country, even the "belly of the beast" here in Cleveland.

Ever been to Orlando? Count the number of Steeler jerseys and Steeler "accesories" on cars before you see a single Dolphins, Jags or Bucs. Significantly more Steeler stuff.

We should get together for a game sometime BH!!! We always have a nice party here at my place every week for the games. There is probably 5-6 Steelers fans a week that gather at my house to make noise and have fun!!! Just a thought......

A lot of Buc gear in the Bay area, but I'd say you see nearly as much Steeler paraphernalia being displayed by the people around here.

By the way AS, I like the sig, but after hearing you break out "The Bruise Brothers" the other night, I would have thought you'd opt for that. Care to license out the phrase?

Woodley needs to have one more great game.... you know, from working with photoshop... you can't produce quality sigs without hi-res pics... for some reason I can't find pics of Woodley big enough to throw into a sig. I've collected a couple of Harrison, but not of Woodley. BTW, you like "Bruise Brothers"..... what about:

"HarryWood"

Uhh...umm...

I'll stick with Bruise Brothers.

The high res pics are nice, but as long as I can find one as big or bigger than what I want to use in the final product, I'm good to go. Does that mean that a new Bruise Brothers sig is on the way? I hope so. I don't have the time to invest right now in any quality Photoshop projects (despite the fact that I've probably had 10 posts here this evening :x ) and I know you'll do the phrase the justice it deserves...besides I can't exactly steal the idea from you. :D

Indeed... a "Bruise Brothers" sig is in the process. I'd like to create an actual banner... we have a local Steeler watering hole here that has decor submitted by local yahoos. I'd like to contribute something this season.

I'm witcha Ozey, coming from the northern part of the state. Way more Steelers fans that I know than Colts fans. Rings true at every Festival up here too. Three Rivers Festivakl, Johnny Appleseed and the numerous street festivals this time of year. Steelers jerseys everywhere. And I too have trouble stomaching these so-called die hard Colts fans. They really have no idea.

I heard #86 jerseys are neck-and-neck #7 jerseys as most sold. Does anyone know if there is an official site that keeps count or sales figures?

That is an awfully nice invite AK Steel! I might need to take you up on that sometime this season. The Ol' Lady and I usually are out at the Blue Moose Saloon in Parma when games aren't on locally. I'd consider coming down for one, though, even if it was on locally because your invite was so gracious.

We'll be in touch. Don't be bashful about PMing, either.
