1. Ben throwing lots of short quick passes to Hine and the TEs

2. Woodley and Timmons standing over a sprawling Schaub after multiple sacks

3. Troy being a defensive back and NOT, I repeat NOT, blitzing into the middle of the Texans' OL.

Your hopes and wishes?

:Agree

I think this probably means an upright Ben, and a flat on the ground Schaub.

Woodley and Timmons each with a sack a piece.

Mendenhall with 80 yards, 40 rushing and 40 receiving.

Ben with only 1 sack.

Ike starting the year off on a good foot with a pick.

Baker and Sweed with 2 receptions each and 1 TD between them.

Parker with 100+ yards.

I doubt that Baker and Sweed will both be active on gameday. They obviously will have Santonio, Hines, and Nate as their top 3 to start the season, and I think they will pick one of the remaining two to act as the 4th WR, while the other will likely be watching in street clothes.

Didn't we have any sets last year with 5 WR's?

My three things are as follows:

1) A Win

2) A Win

3) A Win

No matter how it gets done. I am not a stat guy, I don't care if we get 12 sacks, 300 yards passing, 200 yards rushing, none of that matters. I just wanna see a win!!

I think if we go with an empty backfield, Heath is more than capable to a split out wide as a receiver.

1. FWP/mendenhall to have big days running the football...we must run the ball successfully this season

2. ben looking sharp throwing the ball, holmes/hines play big

3. defense looking dominate...i want to see a shut out, we can do it

1. A dominate O. Ben spreading the ball around, checking down and all that good stuff coupled with a good ground game.

2. A dominate D. Yes, I too would like to see a shut out. Lets see what we have with the wraps off.

3. No injuries. Enuff said!

1) Methodical, clock killing drives. (either via the run, or short passes).

2) Solid Kick coverage on KOs and Punts

3) Defense nasty enough that the other teams offense starts to look a little scared.

That's in a perfect world:

What I'll be happy with: More points than the Texans, zero injuries for both teams.

1. Hartwig plugs up the middle (end can be worked with TE)
2. Running game is solid when it needs to be (end of game)
3. Defense becomes a terror as I've dreamed it to be

It will be a successful day if I see all 3. I'm not picky ... they can occur in any order.

Other than the obvious....a W and no injuries......

1) The O line keeping big Mario off of Ben and opening some holes for the RBs. This is a very good D front that we are facing, so success against them could be a sign of things to come.

2) Pressure on Schaub. We have heard a lot of talk about how good Woodley has looked in the PS. Let's see that transfer over to the regular season.

3) Special Teams. Always a cause for concern until they can consistently prove otherwise.
