Saw it this past weekend and absolutely awesome. Fast pace, great twists and the plot was thick. Heath Ledger.... what a loss. The guy will win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar this year with his performance. Made Jack Nicholson's version like a comic book. I want to know what you guy's think.....

BTW, I miss my brother's on this board. Hope I can come back more regularly, but life is really needing my attention right now. Peace.

I agree 100% about the Dark Knight AS. It was a phenomenal movie and I don't like about 95% of the movies that I watch nowadays.

It really does suck though that Heath Ledger is gone. This was one of the best acting performances I have ever seen and definitely the best acting performance in any Batman movie...

Dude, freakin $$$$$. I was amazed at how insane Ledger really acted. Just an absolutely fascinating performance.

The entire plot/storyline was perfect. The end was great. It set up the next story with tons of questions perfectly. They have really done a good job with this movie series. It was a very exciting movie and leaves you wanting more. So does the next one bust out Robin again? Or do they not go down that path a 2nd time?

Do they really want to risk another situation like this by bringing Robin back into the mix?

Ledger looked pretty wicked as the Joker, but they obviously can't bring him back in another gay cowboy role (although Jake Gyllenhaal may still be available)

I'm waiting for it to come out at the cheap theater, but since it probably won't be
losing any box office steam any time soon, it's going to be a long wait.

I don't think I can wait that long, so I'm going to have to take out a loan and go to
the regular movie theater.

AS and Les, you are missed. It's starting to get hard for me to hold this place together
with all these bozo's posting here. I don't think I can carry them anymore. I mean, you
should have seen what it was like when RuthlessBurgher was on vacation. I almost folded
under the pressure.

Yeah, I guess I am kinda the glue that holds everything together here now, eh? One week off, and everything goes downhill...you can probably blame my absense as the reason why Hampton showed up to camp unacceptably fat. Of course, I am starting to wonder if the only reason that I get any respect on this new board is because of the cool-@$$ AS sig. No one knew who I was on the old board when I had a lame-@$$ sig.

I know what you mean. I don't know what's going to happen here when I go on vacation
in two weeks. I just hope Planetsteelers is still here when I get back. But of course,
unlike you, there won't be any pictures of me to be posted here when I'm back because
I have a face for radio.

Yep, I kept getting you confused with Roethlisberger and Fries.

And I kept getting you confused with all of the other posters whose names referenced mid-80's Michael J. Fox movies (too bad there wasn't a Teen Wolf over there)

..someone at work today said that Johnny Depp was in talks to play the Riddler in the next one. Dont know how true that is but i think he could pull it off.

Talk about a great casting call. I could definitely see that portrayal. Its not a reach for Depp to play dark chaotic characters. The Batman movies are definitely dark, but done really well.

I seen it this afternoon. I'm not sure if it was just the crappy mood I'm in or what but I really thought it was just ok. It never made me really care about any of the characters. Ledger was certainly the only true star of that film.

Yeah, if one dude can pull off an array of oddball roles that you could not possibly imagine anyone else pulling off to that extent like Edward Scissorhands, Hunter S. Thompson, the new Willy Wonka, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Sweeney Todd...I think he could pull off a better version of the Riddler than Jim Carrey did.

Angelina Jolie is suppose to be in talks as well for "a female supporting actress" spot in the next movie as well. Some think it would be as cat woman. Could be as another character though...

One thing for sure. With the franchise resurrection, plenty of Hollywood heavyweights are lining up for their turn at playing some meaty villainous roles. AJ as Catwoman? I can't see it. Nothing comical about any of the villains that are coming out of this incarnation of the Dark Night. Really looking forward to the upcoming sequels.

The movie was good except for the length (just a tad bit too long, 25 mins or so), and that ridiculous boat scene with the prisoners and normal people.

I think it's cool that the director was trying to address the deep moral question involving the two groups of people. Sort of a twisted version of "lifeboat ethics"...but the execution was really laughable, with the soldiers having a vote and the huge prisoner throwing the trigger out of the window.

BTW That trigger got tossed the F*ck out!!! (hope some of you get that joke)

Overall I liked it. I think Aaron Eckhardt should get more credit for his role as two-face.
