Over the years, buckeyehoppy has taken a lot of flak over being a Steeler fan here in Cleveland. What can I say...I prefer to watch football, Clowns fan prefers to watch an abortion.

In that time, I have always found spots where I can watch the Steelers and enjoy some camaraderie. I could get DreckTV, but I prefer to run up a bar tab and enjoy the game when I can't watch at home among those who count themselves among the Steeler Universe.

In Cleveland, the following are just some of the places where I have either found or have heard that the Steeler Universe congregates en masse and proudly proclaims the greatness of the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Blue Moose Saloon
5513 Ridge Rd
Parma, OH

Harpo's Sports Cafe
5777 Smith Rd
Cleveland, OH

Winking Lizard Tavern-5 Locations
1852 Coventry Road
Cleveland Heights, OH

25380 Miles Road
Bedford Heights, OH

14018 Detroit Ave.
Lakewood, OH

6901 Rockside Road
Independence, OH

511 E. Aurora Road (Rt. 82)
Macedonia, OH

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar
32914 Walker Road
Avon Lake, OH

Of the above, I have found the Blue Moose to be the premiere Steeler bar in Cleveland. I am planning on getting in touch with the Steel City Mafia to make this place the official home of Steeler fans in Cleveland.

I either have first hand knowledge of the Steeler faithful at all of the above listed places or have heard enough from fans to be comfortable to list the rest.

There are, most assuredly other Steeler joints in the Belly of the Beast. I need the Steeler faithful in Cleveland to pipe up here and add to the list if your place hasn't been included. The place should come with a description and why it is a proven spot for Steelers fans to hang.

Go Steelers!!!

It's the off-season. But I feel it necessary to modify my original list here and add a bar to the list that is THE best out of all the potential Steeler spots in the Greater Cleveland area.

The new bar on the list is a genuine Steeler hang and is managed by some folks from Da 'Burgh:

6710 Smith Rd
Middleburg Heights, OH

Rivals has a very good beer selection, including Iron City in bottles and lots (over 20, by my count) of beer on draught. Rivals also has above average food offerings for a bar. For those in Cleveland, this bar is the real deal for the Steeler Nation and is highly recommended for those in town or visiting for any reason.

The original list (included in the first post in this thread) is still, more or less, accurate. Blue Moose Saloon is still a very good spot to be a Steelers fan on any given Sunday. But, the service, beer selection and food offerings are all better at Rivals. The Blue Moose, just as a bar in comparison to Rivals, needs to work a bit on their overall facility. But, as a Steelers bar, the Blue Moose and Rivals share the broadcast of the game AND has the sound of the broadcast as well. If the beer and food offerings aren't an issue, either bar will do.

But the relative friendliness of any of the Winking Lizard locations or of Harpo's must be taken on a case-by-case basis, as I have heard of a few incidents that would be discouraging for Steelers fans going to those spots. It may help if you know a member of the Black and Gold Faithful who watches the games at these spots before going to watch a game there.

Where do you watch the games hoppy? Do you have to go to one of those aforementioned
bars or do you have the Sunday Ticket?
