Two years ago I posted an off-season topic: Have you contributed to Steeler Nation. In it people post pics of their brainwashed offspring. I noticed that we've had some recent additions since then (SteelerNation1 and Jiggawatt, come to mind, have had recent additions), couple that with how our critters have grown so much.... I decided to post this topic again. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who identifies football as having only one identity.... The Steelers. Everytime she sees a Steeler logo she says "football." So let's see some of your more recent photos of the young individuals that will continue the Steeler tradition of fanaticism.

Dude, we need to have the younglings hook up, arranged marriage style. I had rpmpit's son lined-up but he wouldn't accept the agreement regarding the necessary dowery it would take for my daughter's hand (I know, its reversed in my country). A small 80 acres of rice-paddies is the dowery I'm asking. Homeland acreage is cheap and even the broken American dollar could go a long way. I think if you trade in the truck, that in itself would be more than enough to buy the property. I've always wanted to be a rice-paddie slum-lord.

I have some homeboys over here, we have a "Men's Breakfast" every week to slop up some grub and keep up with eachother. That very subject was brought up this past week.... they reminded me that half-asian women are just absolutely stunning (my daughter's mom is FBI: full blooded Italian with her folks being immigrants from the Abruzzi region of Italy)... and come 13 years from now, I'm going to be hating it. I guess I'm going to have to stay physically menacing.... not that a towering 5'7" and 180 lbs is intimidating, but with tattoos and a shaved head, I might be able to pull it off.

What are you gonna do when some kid picks up your daughter and he reminds you of yourself when your were his age? Remember the thoughts you had   . When I was a teenager I used to ask myself why do these fathers absolutely hate me? Now that I am a dad I completely understand.

Don't remind me, bro. I'll be in a constant state of fear and worry. But you know, if she has her mom's temperment... those guys won't stand a chance. My wife is a pistol.... I'm a lucky man. BTW, good looking kid. By the way NKy describe you... I guess he's a chip off the old block. Another one soon? Maybe a little girl?

Here's the oldest one in her terrible towel cape at about 1 1/2 years old.
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/3853/110506it3.jpg

And here she is at about 2 1/2 years old (man she grew up quick) with
her little sister (about 1 month). I need to take some more up to date
photos of them with steelers gear on, but it will have to wait until the
season begins.
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6081/marisaliabo0.jpg

The oldest made me so proud on Tuesday. She always points out the
Steelers logo whenever she sees it, but this time she said, "look daddy,
Steelers. Defense, Defense."

The girl knows defense wins championships. :D

Dude, what a change in one year. Holy crap... I guess you and I are going to be on the same boat in about a decade. BTW, from your last PM to me... I completely forgot that your daughter has the same name as my wife, spelling and all. A beautiful name for a beautiful little girl. Congrats, bro. Actually, I am working on another one. Believe it or not this time I would really like to have a girl so my wife can experience raising a little girl because I am having a blast raising a little boy. You have a cute little girl yourself maybe down the line the kids can get together and toss around the pigskin  . I see alot of sleepless nights for AS.

My little girl has that fiestiness as well. That will help us out in the long run. I'll come up with a LOGO for new found society. Once LVG and Mrs. LVG produce a little girl he can be part of the governing board.... but until then, it will be just you and I, co-founders.

Not really a clique.... atleast not for another decade or so, when me and Jiggawatts' daughters reach high school. SMG has daughters as well, I'm sure he'll be an active board member of the Kentucky chapter of FASH. I'm wondering if Black/Blue80s has kids... somewhere I see a little 6 year old with a mohawk wearing Doc Martins. If I had a little boy, he'd look like this....

He's also a big hockey fan too. The two of us went to game 6 of the AHL conference finals in which our W-B/S Penguins were on the verge of elimination down 3-0 with 11 seconds left in the 2nd period, only to come back to win 4-3, 20 seconds into overtime to force game 7 tonight.

My daughter Riley had Steeler garb on from Day One in the hospital (although now she prefers to wear her pink & white versions of the Steeler and Penguin jerseys instead of the black & gold version...women...hmmmpf)

Here are some more recent photos of the two of them. Riley is 3 and Jake will turn 7 in less than a month. Jake's already been a ring bearer for 2 weddings and Riley was a flower girl for one. We are happy to rent them out for special occasions like that.

Bronco fans! That's a severe case of marital misconduct if I ever saw one. Luckily for me my wife follows no football. My daughter will have no choice in the matter. Even with her play kitchen and stove set.... yup, Steeler plates, bowls and cups. If I have to sit in front of a tiny table having pretend tea with a stuffed bear and my daughter, you better believe we're going to have the proper china. :D

I'm getting A Mossberg.

Obviously, I'm going to be another member of the new clique...for better or for worse. I have a proposition: Let's make a "throw momma from the train" kind of pact, and when our girls hit the age where they start dating (25 in my house, damn it) if one of us needs to "deal" with one of our daughter's suitors we can make a quick call to another one of the clique to fly in and dole out the baseball-bat justice.

That way we don't have any ties to who we're beating down and can hopefully bypass any kind of legal repercussions.

Who's with me?!?!? 8)

It was signed by the 2006 Steelers team. I have a certificate of authentication from a reputable dealer out here so I hope it means this is authentic and not forged. I've compared Jerome Bettis signature with lithograps or photographs I have seen on the internet and the sigs are identical. The same this goes for Bill Cowher.

Dude, your to funny. By the way have you added her to the steeler waiting list? I say by the time he is 25 he is going to thank me for doing that for him.

AS I hate to burst your idea fof menacing "5'7" and 180lbs" but my 15 year old son is 6' 180lbs and still growing. :D

I was 6' and 180 lbs and still growing at one point in my life. Unfortunately, I grew to to 6'1" and about 225 and flabby. :(

Cute kids Ruthless, but what is Teddy Bruschi doing standing behind you in a Holmes jersey?

Tedy Bruschi...that's pretty funny. That guy was the best man at my wedding. And since those pics are pretty old, I think Santonio was still at OSU then, so it was just an out-of-date Kordell jersey he was wearing. D'Oh! My Bruschi looking friend just had his first child a couple of months ago...a daughter...so he will get to join our club of miserable dads of teenaged girls in the 2020's. I've never heard of anybody compare him to Bruschi before. Back before I had a beard, I've had several different folks compare me to football players, but it was always quarterbacks. I've heard Aikman, Elway, even Peyton. Weird, since none of those 3 guys look anything alike.

Count me in. I'll go one better... I'll have some stand-by ninjas ready to go all Darth Maul on whatever cats show up at any of our houses.... and yes 25 is a great age to start dating.

Great photos everyone. My son is 15 months now. He went to his first Steelers game last preseason and is coming to the Philly preseason game this year. He can recognize the Steelers helmet and even says "St..." for Steelers. He always signals the Touchdown sign on demand, and I am teaching him that every other helmet is "cucka." Sometimes he throws the Browns helmet and and wrinkles his nose. In fact, I got him on video doing it the other day. I have a feeling he's going to go to preschool or kindergarten and not know numbers, letters, etc, but know the score of the last 10 Steelers games. I made a documentary video of his 1st saeson last season with pics and video clips from all the games/training camp. It is amazing! I can't wait until he is old enough to appreciate it. Anyway, here are some photos from last season and some more recent ones. Oh, I almost forgot. His two front teeth came in on draft day so, of ouyrse, I nicknamed the right one Mendenhall, and the left tooth Sweed. :D Yes, I am crazy!

2007 preseason game---My wife took this during the intros and I had tears in my eyes because I was so happy to be sharing the Steelers with my boy!

Thanks AS! Don't know why he is pouting. He is in his jersey more than any of us. Very dedicated fan. He and my 13 year old run the sound at the Steel City Mafia club in our town - polka or fight song when we score, etc.

Very proud dad here!

Thank you, NCSF. I love the stories of brainwashing.

Hillary Clinton kiss torture. Eww...

On a similar note, I received the following e-mail recently:

A man was washed up on a beach after a terrible shipwreck. Only a sheep and a sheepdog were washed up with him. After looking around, he realized that they were stranded on a deserted island. After being there awhile, he got into the habit of taking his two animal companions to the beach every evening to watch the sunset.

One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds, the breeze was warm and gentle - a perfect night for romance. As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man. Soon, he leaned over to the sheep and put his arm around it. But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep.

After that, the three of them continued to enjoy the sunsets together, but there was no more cuddling.

A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck.

The only survivor was Hillary Clinton. That evening, the man brought Hillary to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful evening - red sky, cirrus clouds, a warm and gentle breeze - perfect for a night of romance. Pretty soon, the man started to get 'those feelings' again..

He fought the urges as long as he could but he finally gave in and leaned over to Hillary and told her he hadn't had sex for months. Hillary batted her eyelashes and asked if there was anything she could do for him.

He said, 'Would you mind taking the dog for a walk?'
