According to Wexel the Steelers will be watching Kieth Rivers very closely today at the USC pro day. According to Wexel, he believes Rivers is going to fall due to is lack of performance and playmaking in his senior yr. He also thinks if there the Steelers may be put in a tough decision if he does fall to them.

What I don't understand is all this talk about LBs. Rivers is an OLB who wouldn't convert well to the inside. So, we would have Timmons, Woodley, Harrison, Rivers, Farrior and Foote. I wouldn't cry if Farrior and Foote left but how do you take 4 OLBs and field the 3-4? The only move that makes sense is to put Timmons inside (which Im still not feeling) and Harrison inside. If we were planning on playing Harrison inside I would think that we would have seen that a bit last year to get Timmons onto the playing field. I just don't get it.

I don't get it either. I will be so pissed if we pick a lb in the 1st. We spent our 1st and 2nd last year on lb. Why are gonna get another one this year in the first???? We are in big need of OL. Did our front office watch our games last year???? Our biggest weakness by far was OL. You can not win championships with a subpar line.
Also, I agree moving Harrison inside would be plain stupid. Why would you move him away from his strength???? This is a big year for Timmons. He needs to prove he was worth a 1st pick. I'm hoping he shows major improvements this year. It looked like the game was just moving too fast for him last year....hopefully he settles in this year.

I dont see it happening either, we dont need a linebacker with the first pick.
We took two last year, I still have confidence our number one from last year we be better and that shoring up our lines is the main concerns early in this draft.
